okay so I just spent like 3 hours going down the Dusk Network rabbit hole and my brain is fried. the pitch sounds slick right - privacy layer-1 for financial apps confidential smart contracts that XSC standard thing. but every privacy chain claims to be the one for finance. Secret tried it. Aztec tried it. where are they now?

here's what actually interests me though - Dusk isn't trying to be everything to everyone. they're targeting financial compliance stuff specifically. and institutions genuinely need this. you can't have big money running positions on transparent chains where everyone front-runs them. that's just dumb. so the use case is real.

but is Dusk the one to capture it? I genuinely don't know.

the token.I checked the chart earlier and it's been rough. like really rough. makes you wonder if the market just doesn't care about privacy anymore.or if Dusk specifically hasn't delivered enough to make people care.

what bugs me is the slow pace. they've been at this since 2018. that's forever in crypto. sure privacy tech is hard but every year it's some new roadmap update and I'm sitting here like okay but where's the adoption?

might grab a small bag honestly. or I might just keep watching. depends on if they ship something real this year.
