I've been around crypto long enough to know that the biggest risks aren't always hiding inside complicated code.

Sometimes, they're hiding inside a button.

Looking at @Dusk and how $DUSK moves between networks, that’s the part I keep thinking about. On Ethereum or BSC, an approval can look like progress, but approval isn't migration. The tokens haven't actually moved until the migration is executed. One confirmation can easily give someone the wrong sense that everything is done.

Then you look at the journey back to BSC and the risk changes completely. You send native DUSK, but the destination depends on the address written in the memo. One small mistake and suddenly you're relying on the bridge's recovery process rather than the transaction itself.

Even the decimals aren't identical. EVM versions use 18 decimals, while Dusk mainnet uses 9, with LUX as the smallest unit. Most people will never notice that difference. Systems processing thousands of transactions might.

I’ve seen this pattern before. Crypto loves calling things simple after hiding several different assumptions underneath.

I’m not saying Dusk has a broken bridge. I’m saying I don’t fully trust any cross-chain system until the user can clearly understand what has happened, where the asset currently sits, and who is responsible for the next step.

Because sometimes the real security test isn't the cryptography.

It’s whether an ordinary person can make one mistake without losing the plot.
