Was deep in the #dusk CreatorPad task, snack in hand, poking around their own site — and I got stuck on the product stack section. $DUSK , @Dusk , the pitch is loud: "regulated markets, settled onchain," €300M+ issuance, 20K+ investors through NPEX. Sounds fully live. Then I actually read the status tags next to each layer. Native L1 — Live. DuskEVM — Testnet. Dusk Trade, the RWA trading app itself — Building.
Hold up — so the piece that lets outside capital and builders actually touch the RWA economy isn't live yet. Bridge's still paused too, since the Aug 16 wallet-compromise incident — recipient blocklist went up, Binance got looped in on the flow that touched their platform, and reopening is explicitly tied to the DuskEVM launch that hasn't happened either. Meanwhile NPEX, the one institutional partner already wired into native L1, just keeps quietly stacking tokenized issuance in the background.
That's the part that stuck with me. The infrastructure story is true, it's just not evenly true yet. One partner's already inside the room. Everyone else — bridge users, EVM builders — is standing at the door.
Caught myself mid-scroll almost writing this up as "fully operational." Glad I slowed down. Makes me wonder how long a chain can run on one client's numbers before "testnet" quietly stops being a phase and starts being the plan.
