If you're still chasing buybacks like they guarantee a clean moonshot, stop now.
Traders keep getting clipped by the same habit: buying the headline, then holding through the part where the market already priced it in. It looks smart until liquidity fades and everyone else is taking profit.

The bigger signal here is not just the higher buyback cap, but what it says about policy support when risk appetite is already hot. With greed this elevated, headlines like this can still move $USDT, $ONDO, and $ICP, but the quality of the move matters more than the move itself.

We have seen this movie before with equity buybacks and crypto burn narratives: the first reaction is usually loud, the second is where the actual edge lives. When the flow is real, price discovery keeps going. When it is mostly narrative, late longs become exit liquidity fast.

That is why I would rather compare the setup to past buyback headlines than to pure momentum pumps. The real question is whether this turns into sustained demand or just another fast crowd favorite in a greedy market.

Where do you think this goes from here?
