I’ve been looking into Dusk and Hedger, and honestly, I think their approach to privacy makes a lot of sense.

Instead of building privacy in a completely separate environment, Hedger is trying to bring confidential transactions into the EVM using homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs.

What I like is the focus on familiar Ethereum tooling.

Developers already know how the EVM works. Asking them to learn a whole new environment just to add privacy can slow things down.

Dusk seems to be taking a different path: make transactions private, but keep the experience closer to what developers already use.

Maybe that’s the better way forward.

Privacy doesn’t have to mean hiding everything. It can mean keeping sensitive information private while still proving that something is valid.

That balance feels important, especially if blockchain finance is going to be used by more serious institutions.
