🚹 U.S. Treasury Increases Bond Buyback Sizes
The U.S. Treasury announced it will increase the size of its liquidity support buyback operations for longer-dated nominal securities (10- to 30-year sectors).
Starting September 9, the maximum size per operation will rise from $2 billion to at least $4 billion, remaining in effect through early November.
These are routine liquidity support measures, not a large-scale quantitative easing (QE) or emergency $1 trillion program.
Markets are watching the impact on yields and overall conditions.
