I found myself thinking about incentives today.
Not token incentives.
Human incentives.
Because most technology discussions focus on what a system can do.
What matters just as much is whether participants have a reason to use it in the first place.
That's why financial infrastructure is such a difficult problem.
The technology might be secure.
The transactions might be fast.
The architecture might be elegant.
But if the incentives don't align with how institutions actually operate, adoption remains limited.
That's one reason Dusk interests me.
It isn't only focused on blockchain technology.
It's focused on the environment where that technology is expected to function.
Privacy matters because institutions need confidentiality.
Compliance matters because regulations exist.
Verification matters because trust has to be earned.
None of those requirements disappear just because something moves on-chain.
In fact, they often become more important.
The more I look at blockchain adoption, the more I think success depends on understanding people as much as technology.
Networks process transactions.
Markets process incentives.
And the second challenge may be harder than the first.
What do you think drives adoption more?
