The RWA Part Most People Miss.
A gym doesn’t succeed just because it has packed memberships, cheap plans, or loud promotions. It succeeds when people keep coming back because they can see real progress. I’ve been thinking about that while looking deeper into Dusk’s approach to tokenized assets, and I think the same idea applies here. $UP
Most RWA discussions focus on the token. Who tokenized what, how much moved on-chain, and how many assets were added. But the more I looked at Dusk’s Dutch BV share example, the more I felt the real value sits somewhere else. $BTW
For BV shares, the blockchain can create a better digital record of ownership and transfers, but it doesn’t replace Dutch law or notarial requirements. The legal system still matters. And honestly, I like that Dusk doesn’t try to pretend otherwise.
The interesting part is the coordination layer. A blockchain record can make ownership changes easier to track, reduce manual reconciliation, improve transparency and create a cleaner trail for institutions. Validators help secure the network, contributors build the infrastructure, governance participants help shape the rules, and businesses can actually use the system.
That’s where I think the RWA story gets more realistic. Tokenization doesn’t magically make an asset fully autonomous. Legal rights, compliance and corporate actions still need real-world systems behind them.
Could this model fail? Of course. It’s still early. But maybe institutional tokenization was never about replacing the legal system. Maybe it’s about building a stronger connection between legal reality and on-chain data.
The more I watch Dusk, the more I think the token itself may not be the most interesting part. The bigger opportunity could be the infrastructure that keeps everything around that token coordinated.
