Are Korean Traders Falling Back in Love With Crypto? 👀

24-hour trading volume on Upbit has suddenly surged to nearly $2 billion, roughly 6x higher than the levels seen in previous days.

The biggest favorite is XRP, accounting for almost one-quarter of total trading volume, followed by BTC, USDT, ETH, and ONG.

And Korean investors have been rotating capital aggressively this year.

From the beginning of the year through the end of June, they heavily favored Korean equities, helping push the KOSPI to repeated record highs.

Then came July.

As Korean stocks entered a correction, investors shifted toward U.S.

equities, posting around $4.5 billion in net purchases. It was the first time since February that Korean investors bought more U.S. stocks than domestic equities.

And now the rotation may be happening again.

With Bitcoin surging more than 25% in less than a week, trading activity on Upbit has exploded.

Could Korean investors be starting to FOMO back into crypto?
If this isn't just a short-term spike, it could become an interesting signal for the next phase of the market.

Because when Korean retail traders start coming back, the altcoin casino usually isn't far behind. 😆
