I’ve been thinking about TermMax’s upcoming TGE and honestly I’m less interested in the launch day itself and more interested in what has been built before it
It’s easy to look at a TGE and think that the token is the main event But when I started looking at TermMax more closely I kept coming back to a different question what was actually happening before $TMX had a market around it
TermMax has been building beyond just the basic fixed-rate borrowing/lending idea The recent updates mention App V2 Alpha markets expanding to BNB Chain and HyperEVM TermPrime on Canton and newer products around tokenized equities and structured vault strategies
That made me look at the TGE a little differently
A token launch can bring attention very quickly But attention is easy to get for a few days The harder part is keeping people interested when the launch excitement campaigns and rewards are no longer the main reason they are looking at the protocol
For me, that’s where the real test starts
If the products keep getting used, liquidity keeps growing and the protocol continues adding useful financial infrastructure after the TGE then the token launch becomes part of a bigger story rather than the whole story
I’m not saying the TGE itself doesn’t matter It obviously does I just think what happens after the TGE will tell me much more about TermMax than what happens on launch day
That’s the part I’ll be watching
