Something clicked for me while reading about TermMax.

I used to think the interest rate was just one number you look at before borrowing or lending. But it actually affects how you think about the whole position.

For a borrower the question is simple: how much will I need to pay back? For a lender it is more like: what am I getting for letting someone use my capital?

When that rate can change during the deal those answers can also change. A predictable rate makes the numbers easier to understand from the beginning.

This is what I find interesting about TermMax. Its fixed-rate borrowing and lending model gives both sides a clearer rate for the agreed period.

I like this idea because it removes one thing from the equation. You do not have to keep wondering whether the rate will be very different later.#TermMax

It does not make the trade risk-free and it does not remove the need to understand the terms. It just makes the interest part easier to calculate.

For me that is the real value of predictable rates. Sometimes knowing the numbers upfront is more useful than trying to guess what comes next.
