#dusk $DUSK @Dusk I usually try to understand what problem a protocol is solving before looking at the token or the bigger narrative. While going through Dusk Network’s architecture, I noticed I was making a pretty simple assumption.

When I first saw “privacy blockchain,” I immediately thought about private transactions and hidden balances. But the more I looked at Dusk’s focus on confidential smart contracts, the more that interpretation felt incomplete.

The interesting part for me is the application layer.

If financial applications need privacy, then simply hiding a transaction may not be enough. The actual logic running inside a contract could contain sensitive information too. That made me look at the Confidential Security Contract, or XSC, differently.

I’m not saying I fully understand it yet. I’m still trying to connect the architecture with what a real financial workflow would look like.

What exactly remains confidential?

What does another participant still get to verify?

And where does the boundary sit between privacy and the transparency normally expected from a blockchain?

Maybe the answer becomes clearer deeper in the technical documentation. For now, that’s the part I find most worth investigating—not the marketing narrative, but how confidentiality is actually implemented.
