Just wrapped a CreatorPad dive into DUSK's infra stack and one thing wouldn't let go of me…
Dusk's dashboard right now shows the native L1 marked "Live" — fine, that's the settlement layer, ~10s deterministic finality, 210M+ $DUSK staked securing it. But DuskEVM and Hedger, the two pieces that actually let builders and privacy-users touch the chain in a familiar way, are both still sitting on "Testnet." Dusk Trade, the actual investor-facing app, is "Building." #dusk @Dusk
That gap stood out more than any stat. Dusk just published a piece (Aug 15) walking through their NPEX partnership — €200M+ confirmed issuance, 20K+ investor base — all framed around institutional tokenization workflows. Real money, real regulated rails. Meanwhile the parts of the stack a regular dev or user would actually poke at are unfinished.
Hmm… so the infrastructure narrative and the usage narrative are pointed at two different audiences right now. Institutions get the settlement guarantees today. Everyone else gets a testnet link and a waitlist form. Not a bad thing necessarily, just — I caught myself assuming "live mainnet" meant the whole stack was live, and it doesn't.
Makes me wonder how long that sequencing holds before it becomes the actual story.
