China's factory output, retail sales weaken in July
; premier signals focus on exports

China's National Bureau of Statistics reported factory output grew 4.5% year-over-year in July, down from 5.3% in June and missing forecasts of 4.8%. Retail
sales rose 0.6%, sharply below predictions of 1.5% and down from 1% in June.
Premier Li Qiang said at a state council meeting: "Currently, the problem of insufficient domestic demand remains prominent, some industries and enterprises are facing increasing difficulties, and uncertainties in external environment are rising.
