When I first discovered STON.fi, my attention naturally went to the obvious part:
Swapping tokens.
But the more I learned, the more I realized that focusing only on the swap misses the bigger picture.
A better way to understand any DeFi protocol is to ask:
What problem is this actually trying to solve?
For STON.fi, that question led me into a much deeper exploration of decentralized trading, liquidity, execution, and the broader TON ecosystem.
A DEX isn't simply a place where two tokens change hands.
It needs liquidity.
It needs smart contracts.
It needs pricing mechanisms.
It needs traders.
It needs liquidity providers.
And as the ecosystem grows, it needs infrastructure capable of handling increasing complexity.
That's where my perspective on STON.fi started changing.
Instead of seeing it as just another place to swap, I started looking at the problems behind the interface.
How do users access liquidity?
How can trades be executed efficiently?
How can DeFi become easier to use without removing its decentralized nature?
Those questions are much more interesting to me than simply asking which token is trending.
