A major Bitcoin security incident is getting WORSE. ⚠️
🔴 1,432 BTC confirmed stolen
🔴 Estimates now reach 1,730–1,816 BTC
🔴 Potential losses: $92M–$116M+
🔴 Thousands of Bitcoin addresses affected
The attack is linked to a Coldcard firmware vulnerability that weakened seed generation, allowing attackers to recover vulnerable wallet keys and drain funds.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: If you ever generated a Coldcard wallet on affected firmware, simply updating the firmware may NOT be enough — the old seed may already be compromised. A new seed and migration may be required.
