But the real signal was the slashing. A finality provider double-signs, and the penalty fires automatically. No committee reviews it, no vote decides if it "counts." The violation and the consequence live in the same line of code — no room for a person to step in and make it go away.
That's what stuck with me: most systems hold up fine until they're tested, and testing is exactly when a human usually intervenes. Babylon removes that person from the one place it actually matters — enforcement, not messaging.
Infrastructure earns its name once it stops needing your belief to function. Babylon already reads that way.
