The more I read about @BabylonLabs_io the less I think the real story is TVL.

TVL tells us people are willing to deposit assets.

It doesn't tell us whether the system has been designed for the long term.

That's where Babylon caught my attention.

Bitcoin Staking focused on using native BTC to strengthen network security.

Now Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) are exploring how that same native BTC can support borrowing while keeping Bitcoin's ownership model at the center.

What I also like is that $BABY isn't presented as a replacement for Bitcoin. It has a separate role through governance and validator participation, allowing the ecosystem to evolve while Bitcoin remains the economic foundation.

To me, that's a more sustainable direction than trying to build an ecosystem where one asset carries every responsibility.

I'll be paying more attention to how the public testnet develops than to any headline metric.
