That made sense for a long time. Activity looked like proof that capital mattered. But the more I watch Babylon, the less convinced I am that movement is the scarce thing.
Idle time keeps catching my attention instead.
A Bitcoin that sits untouched is usually treated as inactive. Yet once that same Bitcoin begins securing other systems through Babylon, the meaning of that waiting period changes. The clock itself starts carrying information. Not just ownership. Not just liquidity. A history of remaining available for security without giving up custody.
That feels different from transaction volume.
Volume measures where capital went. Time measures whether capital stayed reliable enough for others to build assumptions around it. Those are not the same behaviour.
I keep wondering if the market has been rewarding movement simply because it was the easiest thing to observe.

If Bitcoin security gradually starts inheriting trust from persistent participation rather than repeated transfers, then idle time may stop looking empty. It may become another form of proof.
I'm still not sure the market knows how to price that difference.
