Labor & Fiscal Impact:

The first formal layoffs have begun (the IRS alone has sidelined over 34 000 workers), while the Senate remains at a standstill, and back-pay uncertainty adds to the strain. All these disruptions blur wage and employment data, distorting inflation expectations
