🚨🇷🇺🇬🇧 RUSSIAN TRAWLERS SUSPECTED OF MAPPING UK UNDERSEA CABLES

A new investigation reported by The Telegraph has identified more than 500 suspicious incidents involving Russian fishing vessels operating above or following undersea communication cables linking the UK with Europe and the United States over 4.5 years.

⚠️ Such activity raises concerns about potential espionage and future sabotage of infrastructure vital to banking, hospitals, telecommunications and internet services.

🇬🇧 The UK government has announced plans for tougher penalties against cable saboteurs and an additional £330 million investment to strengthen undersea infrastructure protection.
