DUSK: A Different Approach to Blockchain Infrastructure

I’ve tried selling in-game skins through traditional gaming marketplaces, and honestly, it can feel ridiculous. Transactions take time, fees eat into the value, and by the time the sale clears, the item can already be worth less. It made me wonder whether many gaming economies are really built to reward players—or simply extract more time and money from them.

That’s why I find the broader idea behind blockchain economies interesting, but I’m also skeptical of GameFi tokens that exist mostly for speculation.

DUSK is a different case. It isn’t a Pixels or Ronin gaming token; DUSK is the native token of the Dusk network, used for transaction fees and staking. The network is focused on privacy, compliance and deterministic settlement rather than trying to manufacture a game economy.

Compared with systems like Robux or V-Bucks, the interesting question is whether blockchain assets can eventually create economies where value can move more freely instead of being trapped inside one platform.

There are obvious risks: adoption, inflation, incentives, regulation and whether people actually want to use the system. A token cannot save an experience people don’t care about.

So I’m not calling $DUSK perfect. I just think @DuskFoundation is tackling a more fundamental problem: how digital ownership and value can work when users need both transparency and privacy. #dusk
