NASDAQ-listed Strive (ASST) filed in its Oct 5 SEC 8-K that it purchased 2,000 $BTC for ∼$169M between Sept 28 - Oct 2 at an average of *$84,422 per BTC*. Fees included.

🚨 Strive just bought 2,000 $BTC for $169M. But its own “63.2% Bitcoin Yield” needs a closer look. Strive bought 2,000 BTC at ~$84,422, lifting its treasury to 29,462 BTC. The stack grew 7.3% in one week, while effective common shares increased about 3.4% — meaning BTC per common share did rise. That's the attractive part of the model. Here's the part investors need to understand: Strive's reported 63.2% YTD BTC Yield is not investment return. Its own SEC filing says the metric measures bitcoin-per-share growth and doesn't account for the source of the capital or the senior claims of preferred shareholders. And the latest purchase illustrates why. About 61.5% of the capital raised came through SATA, while warrant exercises generated $56.7M. SATA's stated amount was about $1.29B, carrying an annualized dividend obligation of $168.2M. So the real engine isn't simply: capital → BTC It's: capital raising → BTC accumulation → BTC/share growth → preferred obligations → need for continued accretion Strive is even targeting an amplification ratio above 60% and now has a $500M SATA repurchase facility. Can Strive keep increasing BTC per common share faster than the cost and senior claims of the capital used to acquire it? DYOR. Strive's BTC Yield is a non-GAAP operating metric, not shareholder return, and the latest quarter's figures remain preliminary. $BTC #Bitcoin #BitcoinTreasury #CryptoMarkets #StriveBuys2000BTCFor$169M

But the number isn’t the whole story. 👀

Strategy and Strive recently disclosed a combined 2,305 BTC purchase, worth about $182.7M.

Here’s the breakdown:

🟡 Strategy: +950 BTC
→ Total holdings: 846,000 BTC

🟡 Strive: +1,355 BTC
→ Total holdings: 26,355 BTC

Both purchases were made between September 14–20, with average purchase prices around $79.5K–$79.7K per BTC.

But here’s what I find more interesting:

Corporate Bitcoin buying isn’t happening evenly across the market.

Some companies are continuing to add BTC to their treasuries, while other corporate holders have reduced holdings or changed how they manage their balance sheets.

So the real question isn’t:

“Is 2,305 BTC bullish?”

It’s:

“Why are these companies still adding Bitcoin to their balance sheets?”

And that’s a much more interesting trend to watch.

What do you think is driving corporate BTC accumulation right now? 👀
