What caught my attention with Solana is not the comparison with the NYSE.

It is what the numbers underneath that comparison are showing.

For the week ending September 13 Solana recorded around 208M spot DEX trades while the NYSE recorded roughly 190M.

That is an unusual milestone.

But trade count alone can be misleading. Millions of small transactions do not necessarily mean billions of dollars are entering the ecosystem.

The more interesting part is that actual liquidity is also increasing.

Solana DEX volume has already crossed $170B in Q3 according to the data provided. That is still below the $180B recorded in Q2 and far below the $325B seen in Q1.

So the network is active but the current quarter has not yet reached its earlier peak.

Stablecoin liquidity gives the story another layer.

Solana stablecoin supply reached around $16.5B on September 22 and increased more than 6% in a week.

That is close to $1B of additional stablecoin liquidity entering the network.

For me this matters more than the headline comparison.

DEX activity tells us people are trading.

Stablecoin supply tells us there is more capital available to trade.

Then there is tokenized equity adoption.

The number of tokenized equity holders on Solana reportedly reached around 973K in September which was almost 60% higher than August.

That suggests the network is attracting activity beyond the usual crypto trading cycle.

But I would still avoid assuming this automatically translates into higher SOL demand.

The key question is whether the liquidity keeps turning into sustainable economic activity.

If stablecoin supply continues growing while DEX volume and tokenized asset usage remain elevated then Solana has a stronger fundamental activity story heading into Q4.

If stablecoin growth stalls and DEX activity falls back then the NYSE milestone could end up being more of a headline than a lasting shift.

For me the important metric now is not whether Solana can beat the NYSE for one week.

It is whether on chain liquidity can keep growing after the headline disappears.

That is what could make the current activity meaningful for SOL.
