Ethereum is back around $2,600, and that puts ETH at an interesting point.
After Bitcoin's recent move above $80K, attention naturally turns toward the rest of the market.
And the question for ETH holders is simple:
Is Ethereum finally preparing for its own move… or is this just another temporary bounce? 👀
Why $2,600 Matters
Price levels become important when traders repeatedly react around them.
ETH reclaiming $2,600 gives bulls something to work with — but holding the level may matter more than simply touching it.
A quick move above resistance can create excitement.
A sustained move can create conviction.
Those are two very different things.
The Bull Case 🚀
If Ethereum can stay above $2,600 while broader crypto sentiment remains positive, traders may start looking for continuation.
Bitcoin's strength can also improve overall market sentiment, potentially giving major altcoins more room to attract attention.
ETH doesn't necessarily need to explode immediately.
Sometimes the more important signal is simply:
higher lows + stronger momentum + sustained support.
If those begin appearing together, the market could start paying closer attention to Ethereum again.
But Don't Ignore the Risk ⚠️
A reclaim is not automatically a breakout.
If ETH moves above $2,600 and then quickly falls back below it, the move could turn into another failed breakout.
That is why I'm more interested in what happens after the reclaim.
Can ETH hold the level?
Can buyers defend it?
Can momentum continue?
Those answers may matter more than today's headline price.
The Bigger Question
Ethereum has spent plenty of time playing second fiddle to Bitcoin.
But crypto markets can rotate quickly.
Bitcoin leads attention.
Then traders start asking:
“Which major altcoin moves next?”
Could ETH become one of them?
Or will traders continue looking elsewhere?
That's the debate.
