LOBSTER $龙虾 Hit Another ATH. The 4× Futures Jump Isn’t 4× New Money The lobster kept climbing. Its market data deserves another look. LOBSTER reached $0.2319 on September 16, setting a new all-time high. At my check, it traded around $0.218; roughly 6% below that peak; with a market cap near $218 million and $49 million in reported daily volume. CoinMarketCap Coinmarketcap showed approximately 246% gains over seven days, while the broader crypto market fell 4.2% over the same period. That is substantial relative strength. But here’s the detail worth slowing down for. Between Binance’s September 9 and September 16 midnight-UTC snapshots, dollar-valued open interest rose from approximately $19.2 million to $76.9 million. The underlying quantity rose from 326.2 million to 392.4 million LOBSTER; about 20%, by my calculation. Most of that fourfold dollar increase therefore reflects the higher token price. Open interest measures outstanding exposure. It does not measure fresh cash entering the token. Our earlier “just leverage” framing was too absolute, too. The main PancakeSwap LOBSTER/WBNB pool recorded roughly $9.2 million in daily spot turnover, with approximately $4 million in pooled liquidity at the check. Spot trading is clearly active, although turnover alone cannot establish net inflows or lasting demand. Gate is running a September 14-23 futures trading campaign covering LOBSTER and $LSK with rewards tied to trading volume. That confirms activity is being encouraged; it doesn’t establish how much of the rally the campaign caused. The breakout deserves recognition. The next test is whether spot liquidity grows and trading activity persists when incentives fade. Neither another ATH nor a larger dollar open-interest figure answers that on its own. Is LOBSTER building lasting demand; or an exceptionally active market for short-term speculation ? #Altcoin Season# #BTC Price Analysis# #Macro Insights#
