George Washington University is hosting a conference days after the 9/11 anniversary featuring relatives of convicted terrorists, billing them as "survivors" and "political prisoners."
The event, sponsored by GW's Institute for Middle East Studies, includes Nida Abu Baker—daughter of Holy Land Foundation leader Shukri Abu Baker, sentenced to 65 years for material support to Hamas—and Mariam Abu-Ali, sister of convicted al-Qaeda terrorist Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, who conspired to assassinate President George W. Bush.
Meanwhile, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani remains without federal security clearance nine months into his term, unable to access classified terror briefings typically provided to the city's chief executive.
