Crypto exchange Gemini has enabled direct XRP Ledger (XRPL) deposits and withdrawals for users in Singapore, giving $XRP adoption a significant boost in Asia. The update allows users in Singapore to move XRP natively through its underlying blockchain rather than relying solely on exchange trading. The integration provides a direct gateway between Gemini and external wallets, simplifying transfers for DeFi applications, payments, and tokenization on the XRP Ledger. To comply with Singapore’s digital-asset regulations, transfers must meet local compliance guidelines, including Travel Rule requirements and deposit attestations. Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss highlighted the rollout as a major development for the region's XRP ecosystem, marking a key milestone in expanding XRPL network utility across Asian markets.
