What I keeP coming back to with Dusk is how "privacy coin" became a phrase that mostly means "opaque to everyone, including regulators," which is exactly why most of them can't touch regulated finance. Dusk's approach is different by design.... privacy where it's needed, transparency where it's useful, and selective disclosure for authorized review, all combined with deterministic settlement.
That's not privacy as an ideology, it's privacy as a configurable property of the transaction, which is a meaningfully different mechanic than most privacy-focused chains offer.
What I don't know yet is how "authorized review" gets defined in practice across different EU jurisdictions, since compliance requirements aren't uniform.
I'm watching how selective disclosure actually gets implemented in live regulated products, not just the concept. @Dusk_Foundation
