Dusk supports both transparent public accounts and confidential shielded transfers, with selective disclosure when specific information must be revealed. That creates a more flexible model than treating every transaction the same way.
But flexibility creates its own trade-off. The more options a system gives developers around visibility, the more carefully those choices need to be designed. Privacy can protect sensitive data, while poor disclosure rules could create friction for users, auditors, or institutions.
That’s the question I’m watching: can programmable privacy make regulated on-chain finance more practical without making verification more complicated?
