Binance bStocks separates changing an asset’s format from acquiring the asset. An eligible Intel stock position can be converted 1:1 into $INTCB with zero conversion fees, while INTCB can also be acquired through the INTCB/USDT Spot pair.
The destination is the same; the operation is not.
During token conversion, Binance says the underlying share remains in custody while the corresponding BEP20 token is minted. Reversing the process burns the token and credits the stock position back. That route does not require selling into USDT and buying again.
Starting with USDT requires a Spot trade instead. Binance separates those trading costs from conversion fees: through 31 August 2026, it lists a reduced $0.17 platform fee for orders under $340 and a 0.05% spread for orders of $340 or more. INTCB/USDT also has a zero-maker-fee promotion through 23:59 UTC on the same date.
These are trading layer terms. They do not change the zero fee rule for converting an existing eligible stock position.
“Free tokenization” therefore describes one operation not every route into $INTCB
When comparing the cost of a tokenized security, should the calculation begin at the conversion button or at the first transaction required by the user’s actual starting asset?
