Both $SEI and Algorand $ALGO are aiming for quantum security, but with completely different approaches and timelines.

🔸 Sei (SIP-5): Attaches ML-DSA-44 keys to existing EVM addresses, no asset migration required, 2,420-byte signature size. Currently in draft (from July 2026), under community discussion, no mainnet yet. Disadvantage: may increase bandwidth from 13 MB/s to 1.57 GB/s.
🔸 Algorand (Falcon): Falcon-1024 has been operational on mainnet since November 2025, protocol origin account granted Q3/2026. Signature size is 640-1280 bytes, covering consensus, staking, and multisig. The goal is to fully restore the protocol by the end of 2027.
👉 Algorand is leading with its deployed anti quantum solution, while Sei is still in the proposal stage. This could be a crucial factor as organizations and governments begin demanding post quantum security. Algorand has an early advantage, but Sei still has time to catch up.
