What caught me was how much waiting is actually built into the unbonding process, not as a bug but as the entire point. Babylon and $BABY get talked about in speed-adjacent language, fast finality, quick settlement, but #Babylon's core design choice is a mandatory unbonding period before withdrawn BTC becomes liquid again. During the task I watched a delegation sit in an unbonding queue for days before funds were spendable, no way to rush it, no premium tier to skip the line. That's a deliberate tradeoff: the timelock exists specifically so slashing and equivocation proofs have a window to catch misbehavior before stake exits. @BabylonLabs_io isn't optimizing for the staker's convenience there, it's optimizing for the security guarantee the whole system rests on. It made me realize most of us default to judging chains on how fast they feel, and this is a case where slowness is the feature being sold as trust. Still not sure how that reads to someone used to instant unstaking elsewhere, patience as a selling point is a hard pitch.
