#termmax @TermMax I used to think onchain leverage was mainly about repeating the same loop: borrow, buy more collateral, lock it, then repeat.
Then I looked closer at how @TermMax’s Leverager constructs the position.
TermMax combines the user’s contribution with borrowed debt tokens, uses them to purchase collateral, and locks that collateral into a Gearing Token (GT) within one atomic transaction.
That made me look at leverage differently: the position doesn’t have to be constructed step by step. The borrow, purchase and GT locking happen as one execution.
There’s no separate transaction between those steps, but that creates an interesting trade-off.
A traditional loop can be evaluated and adjusted after each iteration. An atomic construction doesn’t give you that same pause to resize or recalculate between steps.
Is the execution guarantee of building the position atomically worth giving up some of the flexibility of iterative leverage?
