Several Other People May Have Been Nakamoto

As reported 750,000 – 1.1 million $BTC fortune belonging to Nakamoto has remained untouched for more than a decade.

The Bitcoin community has proposed several names as potential candidates for this Nakamoto persona throughout the years, including Hal Finney, who was deeply involved in Bitcoin’s creation before passing away.

Another is Nick Szabo, who described a decentralized, proof-of-work virtual money in a paper titled “Bit gold” in 1998, more than a decade before Bitcoin.

Considering Jobs’ role in popularizing PCs, the late Apple co-founder has also been credited as the developer of Bitcoin. The only setback is that while Jobs is perceived as some sort of computer scientist, programmer or cryptographer, he was only a visionary and business tycoon.

This is even without mentioning that Nakamoto may not even have been one person, but may have been several people who worked together on the birth of Bitcoin.

Where is Nakamoto?

Nakamoto disappeared from the public eye in 2011 and has not been heard from since.

There have been many speculations and attempts to uncover the true identity of Nakamoto over the years, but no one has been able to definitively prove who he, she, or they are.

Some believe that Nakamoto may have been a group of people rather than an individual, while others have theorized that Nakamoto may have passed away.

One possible explanation for Nakamoto’s disappearance is that he simply wanted to step away from the spotlight and return to a more private life.

It is also possible that Nakamoto was concerned about legal and regulatory scrutiny surrounding Bitcoin and wanted to distance themselves from the project.
