BITCOIN JUST TOOK ITS FIRST STEP AGAINST QUANTUM ATTACKS
⚛️ BITCOIN HAS NOW PROCESSED A QUANTUM-RESISTANT TRANSACTION
StarkWare says it successfully executed an experimental quantum-resistant Bitcoin transaction on the Bitcoin mainnet.
The transaction was confirmed in Block 964,199 and moved a 10,000-satoshi output using a system called Quantum Safe Bitcoin (QSB).
🔐 HOW DOES IT WORK?
QSB uses a combination of hash-based signatures and computational work designed to make it harder for a future quantum computer to forge the transaction.
The method also avoids exposing the relevant public-key material during the period when a transaction is waiting for confirmation.
⚠️ BUT DON'T MISUNDERSTAND THIS
Bitcoin is NOT quantum-proof yet.
This was an experimental transaction, not a network-wide upgrade.
The transaction was non-standard, so it wasn't simply relayed through Bitcoin's normal network path; MARA Pool accepted and mined it through its Slipstream service.
🧠 TRAIIZE TAKE
This is a proof that a quantum-resistant spending method can work on Bitcoin today.
But the long-term solution still requires protocol-level changes to protect Bitcoin at network scale.
The test is real.
The quantum threat isn't solved yet.
We watch the news.
We verify the facts.
We explain the impact.
