According to U.Today, Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano blockchain, has sparked a discussion about the increasing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on reality and its potential implications for cryptocurrency. Hoskinson initiated a poll on his official X account, asking his followers if he should create a crypto OnlyFans for an AI version of himself. The idea was met with mixed reactions from the Cardano community.

Hoskinson's tweet suggested that the rapid and widespread proliferation of AI is 'blurring reality from fantasy.' The poll offered four response options: 'yes,' 'super yes,' 'yes, but Caddle Daddy,' and 'no.' The majority of respondents (35.6%) chose 'no,' while the remaining options received 19%, 16.1%, and 29.2% of the votes, respectively. The poll attracted 3,554 participants and the tweet has been viewed 59,000 times.

In addition to the poll, Hoskinson shared a link to a YouTube short about Aitana Lopez, the first AI-generated social media influencer from Spain. Created by a Spanish advertising agency using AI and Photoshop, Aitana has pink hair, claims to earn $11,000 a month, and has amassed a following of 181,000 on Instagram. The agency reportedly earns this income from advertising brands that approach them, particularly those who cannot afford large-scale advertising campaigns.

Hoskinson has previously expressed concerns about the potential misuse of AI. In December 2023, he predicted that scammers could leverage AI to defraud cryptocurrency holders. This warning came in response to a deepfake video of Hoskinson promising an ADA giveaway. He suggested that AI could become so advanced that it would be difficult to distinguish between real and fake content.
