On August 22, TAC halted its chain after an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the shared Cosmos EVM precompile layer. The team says 2.98B TAC was moved from one account to another, but no new tokens were minted.

TAC is built to bring EVM dApps into the TON and Telegram ecosystem, so security at the execution layer and its dependencies matters just as much as the user-growth story.
The token closed around $0.0028 on August 26 after an extreme recovery from the August 22 lows.

It is whether TAC can relaunch with stronger safeguards, restore confidence, and prove that the underlying infrastructure can handle the scale it is targeting.
