The Best Catalyst Is the One You Can Measure

A crypto project announces:

“Major launch coming.”

Everyone gets excited.

But I usually ask:

Okay… what should actually change after the launch?

For a Bitcoin ecosystem project, I'd watch:

Users

Are more people using it?

Transactions

Is activity increasing?

TVL

Is more capital entering?

Fees

Is the product actually generating economic activity?

Liquidity

Can the market handle increased demand?

That's how I separate a real catalyst from marketing.

For example:

Before launch:

100K users

After launch:

130K users

Transactions ↑

TVL ↑

Fees ↑

Now I have something to study.

But if the only thing that changed was the project's social media follower count…

I'm not convinced.

A headline creates attention.

Usage creates evidence.

That's the difference I look for when researching crypto projects.
