I Don't Trust a Bitcoin Breakout Just Because the Candle Looks Good
This is probably one of the simplest things I look for with $BTC.
A big green candle feels great.
But I immediately ask:
Who is buying?
If the move is supported by real spot demand, that's interesting.
If institutional flows are improving, even better.
But if leverage is exploding at the same time, I get a little more cautious.
Because there's a huge difference between:
Spot demand ↑
Leverage controlled
and
Spot demand weak
Leverage ↑↑
Both can push price higher for a while.
But the second one can become very uncomfortable when traders start closing positions.
So I don't want to predict:
“BTC will go to X.”
I'd rather watch whether the quality of the demand is improving.
Price tells me where the market is.
Liquidity tells me what's happening underneath.
That's the part I'm watching.
