What is SEPA?

SEPA, or the Single Euro Payments Region, is a European Union (EU) initiative that aims to harmonize payments across the Eurozone. Its goal is to create a single market for euro-denominated payments in order to make European payments as simple, reliable, and inexpensive as domestic payments.
The SEPA Zone consists of the following European countries, including several countries which are not part of the Euro area or the European Union:
