2023-04-04 04:49
You can now generate your Binance account's transaction history. Your data will be compressed into a .tar.gz file. Let’s see how to unzip a .tar.gz file to view your transaction history data.

How to unzip a .tar.gz file on Windows?

To unzip a .tar.gz file on Windows, you can use third-party unzipping tools (such as 7-Zip) or the built-in Windows compression tool.
If you’re using a third-party tool:
1. After downloading the tool from their official website, install it on your Windows device and follow the steps below.
2. Right-click on the .tar.gz file you want to unzip. Select the [Extract Here] or [Extract to (filename)] option. This will extract the content of the .tar.gz file to the current folder.
3. If the .tar.gz file contains multiple files or folders, they will be extracted to a new folder with the same name as the .tar.gz file.
If you’re using the built-in Windows compression tool:
Please note that this function is only available for Windows 10 and above devices.
Open “Command Prompt” and enter the unzip command. For example:
tar -zxvf "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Desktop\202303170814.tar.gz" -C .
