🔐 Nillion Covenants: A New Era for Encrypted Markets
What excites me most about Nillion is the potential of Covenants to keep instructions encrypted until specific conditions are met. This could unlock new possibilities for private trading, conditional orders, and decentralized applications.
With Dusk introducing the first Covenant on Ethereum, I’m excited to follow how the seven-era roadmap evolves. Privacy, automation, and permissionless infrastructure could play an important role in the future of Web3.
What Covenant use case are you most excited to see? 👇
I've been starting to think about how easily a crypto token can look useful on paper without becoming something people actually need. At first, NIL seemed like another compute-focused token, with staking added to strengthen the story. But the more I looked into it, the more I noticed how commitment and real usage are connected. Staking asks people to put capital behind their participation, while computation gives that commitment a practical purpose. That distinction matters. Locking tokens can show confidence, but confidence alone doesn't prove lasting demand. Actual usage is harder to fake over time. People need a reason to return, not just an incentive to arrive. What interests me about $NIL is whether these pieces can reinforce each other without relying too heavily on token rewards. If they can, participation could become more than a short-term trade. But will users keep coming back because the network is genuinely useful, even when the rewards become less attractive?
