A few personal thoughts I hope my brothers and sisters will read, even if it’s a bit long—but it’s worth pondering
Trading Futures is not a place that helps you get rich really fast. It’s a place where money is taken from people who always think they can get rich very quickly.
Back then, I also thought that with just a few “beautiful” trades, plus a little leverage, I could change my fate. Every time I won, I became even more convinced that I was better. But then when I started losing, I realized the market was only “lending” me confidence—only to take everything back.
After many years, I’ve realized that most people don’t lose because they lack knowledge, but because they’re too impatient. Everyone wants to earn in a few weeks what should realistically take a few years to achieve.
And that’s also why so many accounts end up with the same fate.
Futures isn’t bad. It’s just a tool.
But if you enter the market with the mindset that you must get rich really fast, then from the very beginning, you’ve already become its target.
To this day, I still trade Futures every day, and I still make money from it. But I no longer see it as a shortcut to get rich.
I see it as a job.
And only when you stop trying to get rich really fast do you have the chance to stay in the market long enough to truly become wealthy.
It’s been four days since my most recent trade. I’m not quitting trading—I’m just waiting and observing.
I don’t force myself into a position just because I haven’t traded for a few days. The market will always present more opportunities.
My job is to be patient enough to wait for the right moment.
