With the Cancun upgrade approaching at the end of the year (and the possible L2 airdrop), the enthusiasm for L2 has never subsided, as can be seen from the lively data of the L2 official cross-chain bridge.
The four major L2s (Optimism, Arbitrum, zkSync, and StarkNet) have now welcomed more competitors, and the new player Base chain has joined the list.
Today, I fully updated the L2 Bridge Dune Dashboard and got the latest data. Let’s explore the major L2 cross-chain bridges from a data perspective.

1- Cross-chain bridge data comparison
zksync

* Total number of users (single wallet address): zkSync leads with 2.07 million addresses
* Total cross-chain amount (TVB, only ETH is counted here): zksync ranks second with 1.36 million ETH
* Weekly users: zkSync ranks first with 60,000 users
* Weekly cross-chain amount: zkSync ranks first with more than 80,000 ETH

2-Insight and Analysis
Heat transfer: With the issuance and airdrop of OP and ARB tokens.
zkSync and StarkNet are currently taking on the surge of “cross-chain data”
Base's weekly data is exceptionally impressive in terms of cross-chain users and amount
3-Personal thoughts
* Data authenticity: Data doesn’t lie, especially since every transaction costs real money in gas fees. These cross-chain bridge data not only reflect real user behavior and market trends, but also prove the activity and widespread acceptance of L2.
* Build confidence in L2: Some people worry that L2 may cause a lot of people to lose money, and even make studios and small investors lose all their money. From the millions of cross-chain addresses, we do have reason to feel a little worried. But at the same time, these data also prove the strong growth and widespread adoption of L2 from the side. L2 is part of Ethereum's future and its importance is unparalleled. The Cancun upgrade at the end of the year will further promote this trend.
* Adjust your mindset: Don’t be bothered by short-term panic and doubt. If you are worried about a rebound, it is better to set the target ROI to 1:0 from the beginning, and use the money that you will not feel bad about losing even if you lose it all, to bet on the L2 pattern. Just think of it as buying a call option on L2. Instead of worrying about short-term losses, it is better to look at the problem from the perspective of the future. Investing in L2 is investing in the development and bright future of Ethereum.
