Original article: "Inventory of 16 projects in the Fuel Network ecosystem: Which ones are worth paying attention to in advance?"

Written by Karen, Foresight News

Fuel Network's obvious advantages in parallel transaction processing, FuelVM, and token-free approval have given it a place in the module execution layer. For more information about Fuel Network's team and technical architecture, please read "Detailed Explanation of Modular Public Chain Fuel: What Improvements Have Been Made to the Modular Execution Layer Derived from Optimistic Rollup?"

Although Fuel Network is still an independent network, officials said that it will be fully bridged to Ethereum in the future, first the test network and then to the main network, so that Ethereum assets can be used in the Fuel execution environment.

Fuel Labs, the developer of Fuel Network, launched Fuel's second public testnet "Beta-2" this month to address such drawbacks. It began to explore the cross-chain bridging function to Ethereum and launched the message passing function tested with the Ethereum testnet Goerli, allowing developers to build and test cross-chain DApps. It also supports application-level ETH bridging and ERC-20 token bridging. At the same time, Fuel Labs also released a simplified version of the browser plug-in wallet.

This article will provide readers with an inventory of projects that are currently being or will be built on the Fuel Network. In addition to Fuel Labs' official DEX SwaySwap, 6 of the 16 projects summarized are DeFi projects, including Fuel Labs' official DEX SwaySwap and DeFi projects such as Poolsharks that are frequently mentioned by Fuel Labs. Others include NFT, infrastructure and other categories. Some projects are also winners of the Fuel bounty category in the ETHLisbon Hackathon and ETH San Francisco Hackathon.

DeFi

SwaySwap: Fuel Labs’ Official DEX

SwaySwap is a decentralized trading protocol demonstration application launched by Fuel Labs on Fuel devnet in June this year. Currently, the assets used on SwaySwap are not real assets, but if you are interested, you can also go to the interactive experience

Poolshark: DeFi Liquidity Layer

Poolshark will serve as the Fuel Network DeFi liquidity layer, providing token swap services while giving liquidity providers greater control over their liquidity strategies, enabling directional trading and providing a more efficient fee model for market makers.

Among them, directional liquidity is somewhat similar to the centralized liquidity concept of Uniswap V3, allowing range liquidity positions to be traded in a single direction, eliminating the adverse risks caused by price fluctuations when range orders are executed. Another feature of Poolshark is Fungible Queues, where there is a queue for each price fluctuation unit, and the liquidity provider who provides the best price can obtain 100% of the liquidity provider fee.

Fuel Network officially introduced Poolshark on Twitter and retweeted Poolshark-related content many times. In May 2022, PoolSharks Labs received a donation from The Graph Foundation, and stated at the time that it would build a subgraph that provides multi-chain price oracles. Currently, Poolshark is fully committed to building Poolshark V1 on Fuel Network, and Poolshark V1 will be released in the first quarter of 2023.

Elix: Decentralized Exchange Protocol

Elix will build a decentralized trading protocol on the Fuel Network, which is currently under development. Elix will learn from Curve to provide automated centralized liquidity to achieve efficient transactions and maintain low slippage.

According to Elix, it is also one of the first Fuel Grants Program recipients.

Yama Finance: A multi-chain decentralized stablecoin project

Yama Finance is a multi-chain decentralized stablecoin project that will be launched in networks such as Fuel Network, Eclipse, Arbitrum, etc.

Yama Finance Yama is built on the cross-chain application building platform Hyperlane inter-chain messaging protocol, aiming to improve capital efficiency by allowing a variety of collateral (including yield assets), and unify liquidity between multiple protocols and blockchains. Fuel Network has retweeted Yama-related content.

Acumen: Credit Agreement

Acumen is a microfinance protocol that bridges DeFi and traditional finance, helping small and medium-sized businesses or enterprises in El Salvador access capital while providing returns to loan users.

Acumen initially chose to build on Solana, but due to factors such as network performance, it considered cross-chain operations on EVM-compatible chains and is currently seeking to build on Fuel. Acumen has previously released a governance token.

UNIC: Bringing real-world utility to NFTs

UNIC describes itself as an NFT 2.0 project that will allow real-world utility to be brought to NFTs. In the UNIC application, users can convert their NFTs into a unique, verifiable, and immutable asset, and then be able to print, publish, and upload assets anywhere, and such assets can be verified through the UNIC application.

Capitalist Pigs: Gamifying NFT Staking

Capitalist Pigs is using a set of NFTs to implement gamified staking. Specifically, users can first claim one or more Pig NFTs, and then stake the piglet NFTs to collect protocol fees and Truffles. Truffles can then be used to redeem piglets NFTs with merchants. Five piglets can be exchanged for one fat pig NFT.

Capitalist Pigs won third place in the Fuel bounty category at the ETHLisbon hackathon.

FuelScape

FuelScape leverages the scalability of Fuel to combine RuneScapeClassic gameplay with a decentralized blockchain game state. FuelScape won first prize in the Fuel Bounty category at the ETH San Francisco Hackathon.

When a player logs in, his inventory is retrieved from the blockchain state and the wallet is locked for transfers, and while playing, his on-chain inventory is updated in real time. When the player logs out, his wallet is unlocked and his inventory remains available outside the game. This allows for further expansion of the gaming ecosystem using third-party applications.
