[33 billion SHIB was transferred to mysterious accounts amid the continued sell-off]

The cryptocurrency market is once again rocked by a major token move for the world-famous meme coin Shiba Inu. This is the second major move in a week involving unknown whales moving large amounts of SHIB to undisclosed wallets.

On August 16, the Shiba Inu token experienced significant whale activity. According to Etherscan data, a total of 14 transactions involved the transfer of approximately 33 billion SHIB, equivalent to approximately $330,000. Most of these tokens such as 1.9 billion and 1.8 billion SHIB were withdrawn from KuCoin wallets and OKX exchanges and were continuously traded between central exchanges. Some transactions may involve arbitrage.

In total, about 4 billion SHIB left exchanges, with the remaining 33 billion traded among anonymous whales. Additionally, there was a massive transfer of approximately 45.999 billion SHIB tokens worth nearly $4.8 million on Sunday, in transactions between unknown wallets.

According to CoinMarketCap data, Shiba Inu (SHIB) price has dropped 6% during this period and is currently trading at $0.0000096. The drop came after leading developer Shytoshi Kusama gave an AI-powered talk at the annual blockchain conference in Toronto, Canada.

SHIB tokens have been sold heavily over the past five days, falling nearly 15% from their monthly highs. The continued activity of these whales may put additional pressure on meme coins in the coming period.
