Binance is shutting down its Binance Connect payment platform due to lack of demand.
The platform was released in March 2022 under the name Bifinity.
The original goal of Binance Connect was to become the official connection between Binance and the blockchain. The service supported more than 50 cryptocurrencies, as well as Visa, Mastercard and other payment methods.
The brother of former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Joseph, served as a consultant at Binance Connect, but resigned in December 2022.
