Criminal organizations in Mexico use a number of popular digital assets to purchase the raw materials needed to make fentanyl. Payments generally go to Chinese suppliers' wallets hosted by crypto firms. 🕵️‍♂️

These new warnings are an updated warning from FinCEN from 2019 and reflect issues already emerging in enforcement and criminal cases brought by US authorities. 🚨
