Sei’s airdrop is a unique event that encompasses every corner of the Web3 universe.
This is a true “cross-chain” airdrop, recognizing pioneer users from many ecosystems.
In 2023, most mainstream blockchain users may be whitelisted and eligible to participate.
Check whether you are eligible and participate in the cross-chain airdrop here: https://app.sei.io/
The airdrop is now open for redemption.
Build background
Sei is an open source, permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for the basic use case of blockchain, which is the exchange of digital assets. As digital assets (from NFTs and games to DeFi) continue to grow, so does the need for high-performance blockchains. In response to this demand, Sei is focused on becoming the ideal infrastructure for high-performance, top-tier user experience DApps in Web3.
Based on this, Sei is optimized in terms of speed, performance and technological innovation. It has the fastest final block confirmation time of any blockchain, potential throughput that may even be higher than the theoretical maximum of any rollup on Ethereum, and is built with cutting-edge technology for low latency. These include novel mechanisms for parallel processing, instant block finality, and efficient block propagation processing.
Taking it a step further, Sei provides the infrastructure that enables anyone with Internet access to interact with Web3 applications at ultra-fast speeds, almost in the blink of an eye. Therefore, Sei not only helps improve efficiency, but also unlocks a whole new category of Web3 applications.

How airdrops work
In order to participate, whitelisted users must bridge eligible assets to Sei.
Sei Foundation works closely with ecosystem partners to identify active users on the following blockchains:
Solana
Ethereum
Decision
Polygon
Binance Smart Chain
Osmosis
Users on these chains participate in most of the activity on today’s blockchains.
Users active on any of these chains may be eligible to participate in the airdrop. The first step is to create a Sei wallet. At launch, either Fin Wallet or Compass Wallet can be used. If you are installing these wallets for the first time, please follow the instructions and remember and keep your mnemonic phrase. If you have installed these wallets on the Atlantic-2 testnet, please make sure you install and connect to the latest version that supports the Pacific-1 mainnet.
Simply follow the instructions on the Airdrop tab, link your existing off-chain wallet to a Sei wallet address, and bridge any of the listed coins on the Sei cross-chain bridge page.
Sei Foundation provides a simple themed front-end to maintain continuity of the experience, but the underlying bridging protocol is completely independent from Sei Foundation. The Sei Foundation has no influence on the Wormhole and Axelar protocols. You can learn more about their technology and how to bridge it with Sei here:
Eligible tokens include:
Wormhole:
Ethereum: USDC, ETH, WBTC
Arbiter: USDC.e(arbUSDC)
Polygon:USDC(maticUSDC)
Optimism:USDC(opUSDC)
Solana:USDC(solUSDC)
BNB:USDT(bnbUSDT)
IBC (Osmosis only):
ATOM
OSMO
Shoulders:
Ethereum: axlUSDC
Arbitration: axlUSDC
Polygon:axlUSDC
BNB chain: axlUSDC
Frequently Asked Questions My cross-chain transaction is pending, how do I know if there is a problem?
Cross-chain transactions are handled entirely by Wormhole or Axelar, depending on the specific asset. You can visit the Wormhole Discord or visit Axelar Support for more information. NOTE: When bridging from Ethereum, transactions may take up to 30 minutes to reach Sei. This delay is caused by the way the Wormhole and Axelar bridging protocols operate and does not reflect Sei's finality times or performance.
For example, when assets are transferred from the original chain (Ethereum in this case), they are being processed through the bridge protocol (Wormhole in this case).
2. Are there any restrictions on the transfer of assets into or out of Sei?
Any limitations arise from the parameters set by Wormhole and Axelar. The Sei Foundation has no control or say in this process.
Wormhole's standard procedure is to launch on a new blockchain with default daily and large transaction limits, which will apply to bridging in and out of Sei - please be aware of this and be aware that these limits will increase over time .
Axelar also has limits on bridging axlUSDC to or from Sei, with a limit of $3 million every 6 hours.
3. How many airdrops can I receive?
Participants can receive at most one airdrop for each external whitelist address associated with the Sei wallet.
4. Once I claim an airdrop, can I try again using the same Sei wallet/external wallet?
cannot.
5. Do I need to share my private key to link my wallet?
unnecessary. Your private key is never shared or revealed during this process.
6. I participate in Sei’s Atlantic testnet and/or ambassador program, where can I find my rewards?
Please see Sei Atlantic Rewards to find more information.
